Middle Management is a satirical office building and management game. Design an office. Hire the right talent. Spread your tentacles. Keep your rebellious workers productive. Delve into brains to design the perfect employees. DON'T YOU DARE cross your boss or his INFLUENTIAL clients.

Key Features

Build out an office with a variety of rooms, furniture, and employees. Decisions are dynamic, creating a new and re-playable set of options each time.
Each item and employee contributes to the productivity and distractibility of each worker in the office. Decisions, and placement matters.
Dynamic workers which get distracted, wander the office, make friends, learn new ideas that may help or hinder their productivity over time.
Edit the brains of workers to influence their productivity and behavior.
Assume the role of a blobby, monstrous middle manager, which can grow tentacles, control workers, devour the unworthy, and more to come.
Manage the dynamic relationships of your clients and boss, who hold the resources key to expanding your office, or getting you fired.
Unlock more rooms, workers, furniture, brain lobes, and clients as your management skills improve.

History

Development of Middle Management began as a hobbyist project in August 2022. In March 2024 we received a CODE NZ kickstart grant, which enabled us to expand the team to include an artist, sound designer, and narrative designer.
